The urban environment is mediated everywhere with signs and symbols. Being out in a country village right now takes me away from all of that. It's hard to brainwash or control people with hedgerows and pubs. Television in particular seems to have destroyed us as a people. Maybe it should be treated like a hard drug, and strictly limited in its availability?
My parents use to call the tv, "the idiot box". I didn't fully understand back then. I do now.

Well, it’s being replaced by TikTok/Netflix/etc anyhow...best to focus on improving the content if nothing else.
