Shocking that the investigators have been so slow and stupid to see what really has happened to this guy. I would have thought that these people would have been trained and educated much better. Even a tiny child would have seen those clues and realized what happened.

Just my opinion, but it's a likely distraction because they are well aware that people are keeping tabs. They know that some folks have short attention spans and will forget about it.
