Have been just reading about this... how I wish I had your gift with words but will try. Creator God is Our Heavenly Father. Man-made gods are what men may worship and it could be anything or anyone. The temptation of Jesus by the devil, the devil offered all the worldly kingdoms to Jesus. Jesus didn't say the devil didn't have the right to offer them to him. Read the whole passage, the devil said he has the right to offer the worldly kingdoms to anyone he chooses to.
