I don’t claim any particular capability or skill, but spiritual discernment seems much harder and rarer than intellectual agility or physical dexterity. The mind and body skills have many genuine gymnasia, but the spirit is offered endless counterfeits and diversions. The best you can do is to admit you were not of the highest spirit, and likely in opposition on many fronts. Took a lot of knocks and failures to spot this most basic of category errors.

At times I perceive my body as a tool, and mentally separate my spirit from it too in a way grasp hold of the tool, then observing through it while being still and resting on His Word and His Love, other times, I mentally send a signal up and across the front of my mind to clear it fully and not engage thoughts at all until they cease, a lot maybe learned in these moments, imo.

It is all a learning process. What counts the most is what is in your heart! Love and blessings to you, Martin!
