ironically, he didn't have to lose his money, all he had to do was run for president. Are people upset at the timeline? Or are people upset with feeling cheated in multiple elections with no visable resolution. A 2024 announcement a week after getting cheated from senate seems rather tone deaf to many. It's hard for them to keep expecting something, for it to seemly not matter in public optics.
