The Pima County Board of Supervisors voted no Tuesday to Supervisor Steve Christy’s call for an independent investigation into the “degree of malfeasance, incompetence or nefarious activity” by the recorder’s office around early-voting portal issues.

Christy, who represents District 4 as the only Republican on the board, grilled Recorder Gabriella Cázares-Kelly at the Nov. 19 supervisors meeting about an online portal for people to request vote-by-mail ballots that was taken down before the election.

Texas is offering the incoming Trump administration a tract of more than 1,400 acres on which to stage its mass deportation operation when it enters office in January, as the transition team begins to make preparations for the ambitious project.

Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham has written to President-elect Donald Trump offering him the land in Starr County, which the state purchased from a ranch owner in October. The 1,402 acres are in the Rio Grande Valley sector near the border.

Her letter to Trump, obtained by Fox News Digital, says her office is "fully prepared to enter into an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or the United States Border Patrol to allow a facility to be built for the processing, detention, and coordination of the largest deportation of violent criminals in the nation’s history."

You will only pay sales tax on NEW items such as a new vehicle. A used one you will not. So Sales tax will only be paid once to that item. Tariffs is whats going to keep us afloat. State tax may or may not stay around. Texas doesnt have state tax and I really dont think we will ever either. there may be an increase in that sales tax though. Texas is 8.25%. other states are less but have state tax. I think maybe something like 14% across the board for newly purchased items. Might only be for big purchases and maybe not shampoo or alike. The final decision will come soon. I am ready. Either way it will be good.
