I retired from the Consumer Packaging Graphics/Printing business. Long ago when the smaller sizes started, we had to redesign the smaller packages. We were told that after extensive Consumer panels, it was determend that the consumer would rather pay the same and have a smaller package, than pay more for the same piece.
But now it seems the price goes up and the packaging goes down.
