What happened to robust discussion and everything in moderation rather than hyper focus on single outcomes and dividing the debate into tribes?

One reason this debate gets irrational is that people confuse ‘FDA-approved’ with ‘morally pure’ and ‘natural’ with ‘safe.’ Neither is true.

Medicine is a mix of science, incentives, regulation, and marketing. Cannabis is a mix of pharmacology, culture, and policy.

If we want rationality, we should discuss outcomes and evidence, not the identity of the user. If we can acknowledge the downsides (dependency potential, impairment, mental health risks for some), can you also acknowledge the upsides the medical literature keeps documenting — and that ‘trust the science’ often gets filtered through a healthcare system with strong financial incentives.

Calling people ‘potheads’ is the same move as calling everyone who trusts medicine a ‘pharma believer.’ It’s rhetoric, not analysis.

Cannabis and pharma has risks. It also has legitimate medical research behind it. Can we talk about conditions and contexts instead of caricatures?

Sounds very similar to my journey. Family, gone, claiming I am delusional. Snickers from others for my 'beliefs' not knowledge, beliefs. Looking back, I recall the same pattern back to when I was a child, different topics, but same pattern. Those folks cannot see the forest for the trees. The biggest hurdle is unlearning what was taught as we accept it as truth when it is the furthest from Truth as it can get. The American psyche has been shattered, rebuilt so many times we don't know what is real and what is manipulation at the micro level as 'they' keep reshaping the macro and calling it reform or redress. This is a spiritual battle and many are scared off by spiritual things as fluff, non-existent, or a pipe dream and not real. What is set is motion cannot be stopped, a natural law, and it will reach solution. A few turns of the wheel, but it will happen. There will be collateral losses figuratively and literally. Fruitages of Spirit/Armor of God. Stay the course. No fear

Until the power to make my own decisions for my life and my family with the assets I and my family worked for/created, not taxed, not arrested for my choices, my views, my beliefs and that the powers that shouldn't be are NO LONGER making those decisions for me and my family, this all sounds good but smells to me like the same centralized power concept just realigning the next wave/class of power players making decisions for me/family, just slightly different. Until public employees truly answer to the People they serve, instead of the People providing service to the employees through endless taxation/fines/fees/licenses/fraud/waste/abuse and the whole 'thrill' of being untouchable by being in public employment....nothing, nothing changes. Two rules to govern us all, No Harm, No trespass.

It is all based on statutes/codes that we consent to invisible contracts as administrative laws in Article 1 courts. The only way out is common law and bringing them into Article 3 courts. The vast majority do not know the difference between a living man/woman and the dead entity STATE NAME.
