WEST JORDAN — Two men accused of raping a 14-year-old girl who was in and out of consciousness and another man charged with videotaping the sexual encounter were sentenced Wednesday to 48 months of probation.

Third District Judge Douglas Hogan sentenced each to between one and 15 years in prison but suspended the prison sentences in lieu of probation. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will first address the immigration status of two of the men before they begin serving the probation.

I'm not saying the government should support any particular 'religion'. Some would possibly disagree by pointing to ancient texts that may support their particular views, or argue that the constitution was written and motivated on Christian principles inspired by the bible.
We'll have to see where this goes, and whether it becomes a stumbling block for the citizens of this country.

The idea of religion intertwined with government can mean different things to different people.
Requires a deeper conversation, imho. Let's just take one example of what's occuring recently in some schools. The 10 commandments being posted. Should this be considered religious considering where it originated? Who decides? Government? Parents?

We could make a long list of things that are truely unfair and don't make any sense. Hopefully we'll see dramatic changes going forward in leadership throughout this country, without the constant attack of agitators and Soros disciples who want to sabotage all efforts to solve our greatest problems. I had a situation that hit me quite hard many years ago, but it was a time of deep thought that helped me view the future with a healthier perspective. I threw all worries aside and focused on reminding myself each day of what is important. It changed everything. By simply reminding myself each day, it made all the difference.

Absolutely. The sexual abuses and subsequent consequences including trauma must be addressed fiercely. The predators need to have a deep fear of commiting these crimes if we are going to make any progress. One incident is 'too late'. We all need to do whatever we can if we suspect someone is involved in child abuse, whether sexual or not, imo.
