I have a slight problem with Americans stating that the 650 airplane loads of gold recovered from under the Vatican are theirs in the first place. Much gold was stolen from other countries, including Africa and the Phillipines. From Canada? I dunno.

School choice in Texas?
"The Texas Governor says he has the votes to get “School Choice” passed into law this year.

So if a parent wants to pull their kid out of public school and send them to private school or home schooling, the tax dollars would follow the kid.

Of course the public school system is very against this because it takes money away from public schools each time a kid leaves the system.

But advocates say it creates valuable competition. If a school wants to keep its students, it can entice them to stay by doing a better job of educating them.
