A PRAYER FOR COMMUNITY

Lord, thank You for the gift of community. Help me to look beyond myself and see how i can encourage others toward love and good works. Give me eyes to see who needs support, and the courage to act in faith. Use me to build up the body of Christ--for Your glory. Amen.

CONCERNS

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

PHILIPPIANS 4:6 KJV

Inhale, and pay attention to where you feel anxious.

As you exhale, imagine letting that anxiety go and releasing any tension.

Repeat this as needed, and bring your requests to God.

A PRAYER FOR HARMONY

God, I know relationships aren't perfect. Please heal and restore those that are broken. Thank You for being the perfect example of a loving father. Use me to bring Your love and harmony to those around me. I want to live in a way so that my family sees Your love flowing out of me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A PRAYER FOR STRENGTH

God, all my hope is in You. You are all I need. Thank You for being my protector and the source of my strength. In every situation I face, I ask for Your courage and endurance to face it and handle it well. Please guide me with Your wisdom as I make decisions, and fill me with peace as I do what You've called me to do. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A PRAYER FOR PATIENCE IN TROUBLE

God, I am grateful for all the plans You have for my life. For the ways that You have already gone before me. Because You are in control, I can place my hope in You even when I face trouble. Going forward, please help me to have honest conversations with You when my future feels unclear. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

THANK GOD

God, it's in Your presence that I find joy! You are so kind to me, and Your compassion and mercy follow me relentlessly. There is nowhere I can go to escape You, and there's nothing I can do that would scare You away. You are constantly inviting me to seek You and accept You. Thank You for never giving up on me. THANK GOD

God, I am humbled that You carefully consider my life. Even though I am only here on earth for a moment, You care deeply about that moment. When I really think about this, it humbles me. Who am I, that the God of the universe cares about me? Thank You for loving me. Today, show me how to consider others like You have considered me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

ALL FOR GOD'S GLORY

God, whatever I do, please help me to do it for Your glory. When I'm talking to other people--let it be for Your glory. When I'm working--let it be for Your glory. when I'm spending time with family and friends--let it be for Your glory. In all that I say and do, let me do it for You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A PRAYER FOR UNITY

God, You alone can unite Your children. You make sinful hearts clean. You make broken families whole. You make divided nations return to You. Help me remember Your power to unite, and Your will for togetherness. Mend the divisions You see in me, and mend the divisions You see in the world. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A PRAYER FOR GUIDANCE

God, thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit. Because of Your Spirit, I am never far from You. Thank You! Today, please guide me. Show me what Your will is and then give me the strength to do what pleases You. Align my life with Your will through the power of Your Spirit. Change me from the inside out. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A PRAYER TO GOD MY ROCK

God, there is no one besides You. You are the only One who's holy and worthy of my praise. Thank You for being my Rock and the firm foundation I can build my life upon. I am grateful that You are always faithful, never changing, and the One who deserves my trust. I love You! In Jesus' Name, Amen.

NO ONE ELSE

Hannah desperately wanted a child, but she wasn't able to conceive. Year after year, she was mocked, tormented, and left heartbroken because of her infertility.

Have you ever known disappointment? Discouragement? Devastation?

Maybe you have desperately wanted something a godly marriage, a healthy body, a thriving family, a hand-earned title, a close community, a restored relationship. Maybe you've looked around at everyone else's seemingly full lives and wondered why your arms were empty.

Eventually, after years of waiting, God answered Hannah's prayer. And because of that, she was filled with wonder and worship saying:

CHOICES

It's interesting that this psalm comes on this day. Fifty-four years ago, my second child was born seven weeks too early. Any parent can imagine what I experienced that day. It took almost twenty minutes before I heard her first cry and I breathed a sigh of relief, but was not to last as she had problems with her lungs and fifty-four years ago they didn't have the facilities that they have today. All I could do was pray, and pray I did. I placed her in God's hands and prayed that she would live. Now, I know that this is not the same situation that David was in when he blessed God for saving him from the armies of Saul, but it was one of the scariest moments of my life. Like David, my daughter was saved from death. When we don't know who we can turn to, we can turn to God. When we don't know what to do, we can pray.

A PRAYER TO GOD, MY CREATOR

God, when I think about the vastness of the universe, I am amazed that You chose to create us. Your creativity is beautiful. Your power is magnificent, and Your love for Your children is intentional. Thank You for thinking of me since the beginning of time--and for saving me by sacrificing Your only Son. I love You, Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A PRAYER TO THE SON OF GOD

Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God. Thank You for allowing me to serve You, to have a close relationship with You, and for the promise that You'll always be with me. I am constantly in awe of Your goodness and love. Each day, help me to live a life that honors You. Amen.

God, in all times of heartache and confusion, help me to remember that You are still good. Give me the strength to wait and hope in You--no matter what. I want to seek and follow You every day. Amen.

HONOR GOD

God, when I look at the world around me, I'm amazed by what You've created. Help me to never lose the wonder of what You are able to accomplish. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A PRAYER TO HAND OVER ANXIETY TO GOD

God, Your servant Paul asks us not to be anxious. This sometimes feels impossible with all that's going on in the world. Please help me grow in faith and have absolute trust in You. Even when it doesn't make sense, give me peace and strength. Please hear my prayers. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

PRAYERS FOR ANXIETY

The feeling of anxiety might be one of the most common human experiences. Every person, at some level, has felt anxious or worried. While it is a common human experience, that doesn't mean that it's the ideal human experience that God wants for us.

Anxiety can often occur in moments when we feel like we're losing control of a situation, or maybe even when we feel helpless. We can feel anxious when we're uncomfortable or nervous.

In each of these scenarios, God wants to provide an answer and a help for when we're struggling. In his letter to the Philippians, Paul encourages the church community there to bring all of their worries and anxiety to God through prayer.
