GOD SPEAKS TODAY

Have you ever asked God to speak to you? It can be tempting to think that we could have more faith if God would simply speak to us. If God would just speak, then we would know that He is real and exists.

While at one time God spoke through prophets, He has spoken to us through the Bible which is His Word. Scripture is God's means of communicating with His people. Every time we open up God's Word, we are listening to the Words of God Himself.

That's why Scripture ways the Word of God is alive and active. It is the primary way that God speaks to His people to guide our thoughts and direct our ways. God's Word actively refreshes us and provides us with wisdom for living.

Lord, I pray that when we forget You, You will remind us. I pray for the strength of our leaders, so that when we ask for idols, they lead us back to You. I pray also that You will make us each a strong leader, so that we will always remind each other that Yours is the righteous path. Amen.

In Corinth, a few felt Paul was not as remarkable as his letters made him appear to be. They thought highly of themselves and made negative comments that had the potential to harm his ministry. Paul says it is not wise to compare one another this way. He was once a soldier who persecuted Christians. He was not a spiritual leader, yet, God called him to share the Gospel with the nations. We must encourage one another regarding the works God has called us to do instead of comparing our talents. God has a perfect plan for each of us, and we will encourage one another to follow it precisely.
