Well, friends, I had an accident while trying to take care of a leak in the roof of our food truck. I fell off a ladder and ruptured my Achilles tendon. I have to wait 10 days before I could get an appointment to see an orthopedic to find out if I'll need surgery.

I'm not gonna lie, I felt pretty devastated when I was at the hospital waiting to be treated. All I could think of was my employees and my family and how much they depend on our food truck to run daily.

After a little while of praying and asking God for guidance, I knew that things are going to be OK. He is going to lead me through this just like he has done every time before.

Please send a prayer my way if you have a brief moment. This one really hurt physically, but also emotionally.

Many pet food companies use the cheapest ingredients they can find. Whether it comes from dead, diseased, road kill, or euthanized pets from shelters. These ingredients are not suitable for human consumption. If you won't eat it, why should your dog! Most pet foods contain 4-D ingredients. 4-D is meat and by-products that have been derived from animals that were rejected by food inspectors who classified the animals as not fit for human consumption because they were “Dead, Dying, Disabled or Diseased” at the time of inspection. Any chemicals that existed within that animal would still be inside of it when dead. Meat by-products are nothing more than slaughterhouse waste; waste that's been banned for use in human food and then sold to the pet food industry. It’s what’s left over after the slaughter and classified as inedible waste, unfit for human consumption. With dry foods, the ingredients are cooked twice. First during rendering and again in the extruder.

4-Ds: Road kill, slaughter house rejects, animals that die on their way to meat packing plants - all are acceptable ingredients for pet food under the "4D" rule. Steroids, growth hormones and chemicals (yes there really is) used to treat cattle including insecticide patches end up mixed into the final product.
Feeding kibble to your pet has almost always some irreversible damage. Kibble dehydrates the system leaving it lacking in moisture which therefore causes kidney and bladder stones/crystals. Pets have to drink over 5 times the amount of water to stay hydrated throughout the day. Kibble also causes periodontal disease from buildup of chemicals, addicting additives and preservatives. Kibble is also loaded with sugar although you won't find that on the label. The bags are almost half sugar of the actual food in the bag.
