As a nurse I was really shunned by colleagues, family, friends for being "stupid" and putting other people "at risk." I was made to feel like I did not care about others. This was hard to grasp, because before "covid" I was known as a highly competent and caring nurse. Suddenly I became an outcast. Thankfully I had reached fifty years as an RN with a long career in ER and Critical Care, nursing management, mentoring other nurses, teaching classes, and contributing to new start up healthcare facilities. So I retired and walked away from the insults.
