Having done quite a lot of psychedelics I would attest that the experience for those willing to ride it, provides insight into a reality that is higher than the 3 dimensions we reside in.
I would liken the experience of matter that I've had, to a wave/hologram and concur that what you have said is accurate.
I would say it's one of the great shames of our civilisation, that our intellectuals are not encouraged to explore psychedelics.
