I find that when I am worried about basics like housing, transport, and food then I am not in a headspace that lets me research, reflect, and integrate new ideas. I am forced to deal with more transactional matters and locating resources to keep my going. There is a reason why we had monastic like institutions of learning called universities. Sadly most of the overpaid occupants of them these days are the very people who should not be there, and don't deserve the protection from the everyday struggles of life in order to deliver something of value to all.

iIndeed…. but i do wonder if most or all of the ‘overpaid occupants’ know they teach lies … the lies they themselves were taught?
