Has anyone ever received this survey called The American Community Survey? It contains pages of very invasive personal questions about income, race, age, sex, marital status, utility costs, whole year expenses, retirement financial questions asking for amounts, mental health questions, jobs,transportation to & from work, property values and on and on. It says required by law with a $100-5000 penalty for not answering and they will send an agent if your home if not returned.

The more I read, the more I think this is just another political ploy.
Yes, it's required. But giving out this personal information to a government that should already know all of this is ludicrous.
