Nana, do not forget why they did what they did. What society says, etc. I never wanted to have what my mother had. She was a miserable homemaker and she did not like me. In my youth I equated this to her life choices, however I now know more. Other homes are all different. If I were to have children, I would have stayed home. Because I do believe children should have parent at home. But I did not do either. I had a big job to do - to break the cycle of unloving and unfamily like behavior. After these past two years, I now understand why, the church, the programming. Doing my part to set the example of how to treat others. Helping others heal is a healing experience.

Nana will agree there are ppl that should never have children, I have one in my family. It does not have to be for everyone but for those that have children imho:
Having a child is the ONLY TRUE obligation you will have in life.

And as for Women staying home to take care of the family, Nana also considers this, what if men made enough for this to happen and the Women had been turned loose to expand the charity projects and humanitarian projects while taking care of their families, what if they had the time to work in cooperation with schools on the kids education wonder where we would be now?

Nana, I couldn't agree with you more!! I've said the samething over and over thoughout the years. We'd a have a lot less problems in this country if moms would stay home and raise their children in a loving, safe environment. I am so grateful that my grandson married a woman who feels the same way.

Hubby & I felt this way as well which is why I have had the pleasure/pain of being a SAHM. I felt a little guilty when I took care of my nephew when my sister went back to work a few weeks after he was born. My sister got a different job & put him in daycare (this was also the time he started talking). He called my hubby "daddy nick nack" & me "mommy mandy". I had 3 little girls & him. People used to ask if my youngest & he were twins.

I was grateful I was home to be able to home school my kids when it was needed. Because I was home I was able to catch a lot of shit before it became a problem. Teens are crazy enough without outside influence but what they are exposed to today, even when parents try their best, is scary AF!

Being home made it easier for my hubby to move up in his job. We both have important roles, we support & compliment each other. Ying & yang.

It makes a difference when the Mom is home at least until they start school.

Bless you. I learned this too late. I made the mistake of thinking my career was important, earning was important and most of all that I could do it all, and I tried very hard to but I did not realise how important just being a Mom is.

I totally agree with you! I've been saying the same for a long time. (and yeah except for the bra part - i ditched those nightmares 30 years ago)

Mine stays pretty much ditched, unless I have to go out in public - or the front yard [our 6 ft privacy fence makes the backyard fair game]. ☺

My children stayed home with me, from the moment they were born... wouldn't have had it any other way! Of course, there was a financial downside - pretty darn tough, most of the time - but we got by.

Nana thinks going forward when the dust settles that the family unit will return and the entire school system will eventually be tossed out and redone.

Very true. While many are reaping the fruit of their labor because we chose to be home makers, we’re reaping the whirlwinds of destruction sown by moms that valued caeers over family. Not putting anyone down. I worked too, at times, but there was always one parent at home and I waiting to attend college AFTER all the kids were grown.

That is great if you got to stay home I think while your kids were growing up.
I missed so much and our lives were made so stressful by a bad Dad that I so wish I could have stayed home and made way more memories than I did. I wished that I could have given them more happiness that their father too away a lot but I was pushed to my very limits.

Nana never missed a ballgame tho or a practice in all the years my Son played baseball, basketball, and wrestled. He didnt play football long because he saw early on that he was getting his pitching arm hurt too much and his first love was baseball.

I remember once I had pneumonia once and he said that morning "Mom you're sick you dont have to come to the game tonight" then when he got home that night and ballgame time rolled around he was like, "Are you really not coming"
So I went and sat in the car to watch because it was really cold that night, what we parents call big blanket games.

At 65yrs old I’ve been saying that for decades. It was obvious to me all those decades ago even though I was a young woman myself and it was an unpopular stance to take. It all felt off to me, though at the time I didn’t know why.

I agree with you nana! I believe it was a way to break the family and tax both men and women to get more money. They have indoctrinated our children and planted in their minds that God has no room in their lives. They continue this route daily in schools by confusing them at every turn. I think we need to put our bras back on and let our men lead the family the way God intended. Women are great in the kitchen and taking care of children. We were made for that after all. You’re not alone in your thoughts.

well, not so much 'in the kitchen' I hated it. Always said it was a necessary waste of time. (maybe that's how one of my sons became a chef, survival )
But I was a good baby machine. Probably would have had 10 if I didn't put a stop to it.

Nana I agree 100%. I would prefer to be a stay at home wife. I would have preferred to be a sray at home mom. Now I want to be a stay at home dog mom. But even my husband and I naming 90,000 a year isnt good enough since the basement dummy was installed.

My husband and i make about that much too and it is not enough. the kids are grown and out of the house bow, but it is scary to think how they are going to make it. May end up as multi generational homes like we used to have.

Yes Maam it is insanity what it cost just to have a home and a car alone much less anything else.
We pay more for health insurance now than most pples house payments.
So out of round there is no way for it to continue, the American family is at a breaking point even without China B1d3n's evil schemes.
