I used to watch my mom make that for my baby sister ( 11 years younger than me). She would sterilze glass bottles in a special pot on the stove made for that purpose, then pour the evaporated milk mixture in the sterile bottles, then put the bottles into the fridge. She would warm the bottle in a pan of hot water before feeding my sis. 😊

that brought back some memories of changing my brothers cloth diaper…ringing it out in toilet and fastening with diaper pins…

Yes! Since I was 11 years old when my little sister was born, I was the " little mother" and did that as well. Since my mom had to work, I even got up in the night to feed my sis, change her diaper. I learned how to secure that cloth diaper and put what were called plastic pants over the cloth diaper. 😅😁 I would feed her and rock her back to sleep in a rocking chair.
