Ferns are edible but I have never tried them.
And, yes, it is one of those days.

My husband and I tried Fiddlehead ferns, years ago - thought they were really good, at first, but then got carried away, and ate too many! Ugh... never had one since. (Apparently, one CAN get too much of a good thing!)
