5 crops a year here in most seasons. Hemp also helps replenish soil and can be planted in rotational fields in sync with crop rotation. Also naturally resistant to mold, and insects.

I used to grow lots...once in a while you'd find where the grasshoppers took a bit of nibble from a few leaves but never actually chowed down and ate any of it!

And bugs hate it, weeds can't compete with it, and pretty much can grow in sand with water and sunlight!
