I suggest reading The Urantia Book.

It is not light reading, but it will explain who Lucifer and Satan were specifically. We already knew that Lucifer was a fallen angel.

Satan was administrator for Earth, but went into the Lucifer camp.

Satan is certainly not under the ice.
