⚡BREAKING: Putin signed a decree according to which unfriendly countries must open accounts in Russian banks and pay for gas in rubles:
“It is these accounts that will be used to pay for the gas delivered starting tomorrow.
If such payments are not made, we will consider this a default on the part of the buyers. With all the ensuing consequences.
Nobody sells us anything for free. And we are not going to do charity either. That is, existing contracts will be stopped.”

But how? they only accept the ruble.

No SWIFT and they must transfer money somehow in order to be able to exchange Eur to Ruble in Moscow. German industry is very much dependent on Russian gas. So, 2 options, either they shut down industry or pay what they owe in Ruble. Either way, they must pay, so essentially there is only one option and Europe is #Fooked if they continue with this pointless sanctions.
