I suppose it's inevitable that symbolism would be their downfall. Once you abandon universal love, and divide society into masters and slaves, you need a way to recognise who (and what) is in which class. You can't ask directly, so you need (esoteric) symbols to do the job for you.
I can’t wait until the majority are actually able to love Souls again instead of human shells!!
