This all feels like some sort of endurance course to see who is really dedicated to the goal of a peaceful and prosperous new society — versus those seeking a cheap win and personal advantage. Reminds me of many arduous treks in the mountains in my 20s, thrashing through bogs and snow in the dark to get back to a car at some roadhead.

Totally agree and I can tell you there a days when you must just check out. Go for a hike, fishing, whatever “takes you away” do it.
The grind is real: faith,family, and balancing the focus on Plan with personal escape is vital.
