not sure what the root reference is...
but since 'root' and blood seem to go together,
will mention a story that a black friend of mine
told me years ago: she said that in the (at least 'a') black culture
(she was born in DC), there is a thing called 'rooting'
someone in order to cast a spell, in which one's blood is
mixed in food, the example was her auntie wanted some
guy to fall in love w/ her (they did get married)
she said this is why black men do not eat spaghetti on a date at a woman's house, i guess bc it's easy to disguise the special sauce
just an anecdote!!! 🤗
Hey Lisa. Never heard that one before. I'm not an expert on this stuff, but that wouldn't surprise me. I've noticed that "voodoo-sort-of-spells" are more common than people realize. Sort of like how BLM invoke spirits by saying the name of the dead. I'm sure ANTIFA, MS-13, ISIS and other occults have similar rituals. Just my opinion.
hey bay :) yeah first i heard of it, but she was very serious
and both very classy and street smarts kind of person,
brought up by her gran in a deeply spiritual environment
from what i gather overall, any voodoo hoodoo among,
eg islanders, were mainly used back in the old days to ward off colonialists, and therefore colonialism...
but, in my travels to new orleans, in particular, it was
suggested to me to flush any stray hairs down the loo,
bc apparently it is/was still known to be a thing,
for whatever reason

Interesting stuff. I would imagine that the Aztecs would have done something similar against the Conquistadores.
I've noticed that a lot of cultures have unorthodox beliefs about hair too from Native Americans to across the pond in Italy. Seems like worldwide "phenomenon" that is noteworthy IMO. Could be wrong, but seems to me there is something more to hair spiritually than I previously thought.
Thanks for the info Lisa. 😊👍🏼
