I now realise that I personally was at war from around 2010 (when I "awoke") but was unaware of the length and pervasive nature of the conflict. Even now I do not properly understand the scale and scope of what we are involved in. So if it was "7 years to get in" (to 2017) it's maybe "7 years to get out" (to 2024)? I am finding the time is passing quite quickly…
