I find that there is a way of disclosing our personal struggles that allows for the catharsis of validation, but isn’t self-indulgent or unkind “black pilling”. Acknowledging difficulty and hurt is healthy. The critical thing is the spirit in which it is offered. Expression that “just is” doesn’t insist on our pain being lessened or assuaged. The act of externalising it separates it from our core being, and it can be made tractable and discussible. The paradox is that by not insisting something is done about it, we are doing something that shifts it. Like a fish hook caught in flesh, trying to remove the hurt prematurely only makes it worse. “Let it be” and it will typically resolve itself in time.
