I had a 'dream' this week where I was shown this painting and made to understand what it represented.

The entire "masterpiece" is already finished, but we can only see a small part of it. As soon as it is officially unveiled, a beautiful scene will be ready to enjoy.

So in practical terms, everything appears to be a mess because we can't see what's been happening behind the scenes. When the reveal arrives, we will all be astonished how the world suddenly becomes better than we ever imagined possible.
