I'm no longer sure Kyle is still a patriot. He seems to be well on his way to becoming a full fledged narcissist.

My take is that he's very young and doesn't understand the facts from the fictions that are being whispered in his ears currently. Kid has been through worse battlefield than some enlisted. Not thrilled with his ungrateful attitude, but other than that he seems like a good kid.
