My husband just got an award from his university congratulating him for 50 years of teaching, research and service. Today he got a threat that even though he teaches fully online and never goes to campus or an office, works alone at home, he will be terminated for not being jabbed and tested. A medical or religious exemption, if granted, means weekly testing, for working alone at home. This is not about a virus. Now we need an attorney to protect his pension earned over 50 years
Same boat.....
If testing is an option, do non-intrusive (at home, tissue snot/spit) or as little as intrusive (drive thru) testing as possible. Try to stay on the "battle field" as long as possible without sacrificing a line you have drawn. The places doing this are the "battle fields" of thought, so be vocal and use your voice as much as possible. One day at a time, the proverbial "gun" will be pointed at everyone at one point or another, so be strong. I think yesterday's elections spooked [them] though signaled [they] are not in complete control I think, just my HO.
Testing is an option only if he gets an exemption. Not sure yet what form of testing but he refuses the nasal brain intrusion.
Agree 100%, then [they] will play games too later I sure of it. More $ for Health Insurance, make you pay for the tests. In Germany there are V and UnV cafeterias in companies I had seen today. Like I said everyone has a line, and [they] will it. If he is not going to forfeit his pension then that line may be crossed, but this is a personal decision for US All. You are 100% correct, "this is not about a virus" never was it seems.
Today the phony OSHA mandate rules come out, lawsuits will fly but my blue state loves this tyranny. Looks like forced retirement.
I pulled the pin in july, saw it coming in december
