I've been doing some research and I've found out that the reason he's been going back to his hometown so much is because he's having the tattoo removed. The reason for all the hair is because everyone knows when you shave off body hair, it grows back even thicker. In the picture, you can clearly see the tattoo, it's just starting to fade away.
