hide your money only depositing to pay your bills at the time that you pay them. why does it have to be in a bank? security? well get a safe and a gun, who you gonna trust more to guard your assets you or them.

Credit unions may feel safe but they're not. I'm on the board of one. Guess where they store their money? The big banks. Once the big boys fall, the credit unions will fall with them.

You look for a locally owned independent bank. For example in Alexandria, VA there is Burke and Herbert which has been around since the Civil War but is not tied to the big banks.

I talked about this a week or two ago. For the short term I’d highly recommend moving to a smaller community bank or credit union but even then, still questionable.
