"The latest is a lawsuit in South Carolina against an LLC linked to Lin Wood. The defendant is “Tomotley Crew LLC.” The Plaintiff, I.P. Builders LLC, says it did work on the “Tomotely Plantation” and was stiffed.
According to a February 2021 article in US News & World Reports :
“Over the past year, an LLC linked to Wood has purchased three plantations totaling more than $16 million in South Carolina’s Beaufort County, a coastal area south of Charleston popular with retirees, known for its low-lying marshlands.”
“According to The Island Packet of Hilton Head, Wood acknowledged forming The Tomotley Crew LLC, through which he purchased more than 2,000 acres in the area, including Tomotley Plantation.”
US News & World Report notes “the $7.9 million property” includes a “14-acre lake.” Half-mile entry ways are lined with “live oak trees planted in 1820.” Photos from the Tomotley Plantation are something to see."...
