Actually, it's BECAUSE one parent is in medicine that they didn't know better.
The only time any of us should be trusting a doctor is if they are performing a necessary surgery, or emergency help after an accident or physical attack.
For illness, or prevention of illness, RUN, don't WALK as far away from them as possible.
