I’m open to the earth being flat but I just don’t see how it’s possible.

The sun “sets” beneath the horizon on the ocean every night. You can see it. It’s not just heading north in a circular pattern.

Ships lights on the ocean are only visible from a certain distance due to the curvature of the earth.

Gravity holds water to the earth. Spinning holds it as well. As demonstrated with water in a sling. One spins the sling in a fast circular wind, and the water stays in place. Spinning concept not troubling. There are probably laws of physics we dont grasp. For example, blades on a helicopter or the wheels on a car, under specific conditions can appear to be standing still, but are actually moving. However, some things challenge my brain.One: the moon is perfectly sized and placed so we see a complete and prefect eclipse. If it were smaller the shadow would not be able to block out the sun. The eclipse being significant in the crucifixion? Another looming question: how will time speed up in the last days? Is it possible? It is. Earthquakes cause increased speed of a rotating earth.This has been measured. That means we need a lot more earthquakes. Can one measure a flat non rotating earth for speed? If the earth is flat, What is it sitting on? a coffee table? turtles back? No WAy

Interesting post. I read some comments of people that have been in cockpits but my experiences have been very different. Perhaps it is the very high elevations you can get to in some jets but I could clearly see the curvature. If someone had the time, inclination, and money, they could book a series of flights around the world and prove it to themselves one way or the other. Book a flight from say San Francisco to Tokyo. Then from Tokyo to Mumbai. Mumbai to Cairo. Cairo to London. London to New York. New York back to San Francisco. You would be travelling basically west the entire time. Besides, if the earth was flat, wouldn't cats have knocked everything off the edge by now?
