You can always tell the explanation is a lie as it is too embellished. "She was running in the neighborhood, as she often does, and didn't see a pothole..." I mean, we have all turned our ankles and hurt ourselves to a greater or lesser extent just walking, not even running. If they had said "She was out running and turned her ankle. We thought it was just a sprain but turned out she broke it." But no... they have to make sure we know she goes running all the time so we can explain why she was out in the first place, then there has to be a pothole. Is it just me?
