This one is easily verified. Just do a aearch Washington Monument power outage.
I didn't see the fireworks part, but we were watching a White House live camera feed & did see police cars. We later saw that the Washington Monument & White House lights were out.
I'll see if I can find that live feed if still avlble to see if it showed the fireworks.

I watched one on youtube last night (not the 23rd). The lights went out at the White House the 23rd & 24th. The live feed we I can't find. Was hopeful we could rewind it.
We also pulled open the senate.gov live feed camera outside shot. You can't rewind that one that I can see. In live instances may be a good go to to verify
