Have you tried making an inhaler of essential oils? I make one with Basil, Lavender, Peppermint, Clary Sage & Marjoram. I use it all the time for the migraines, but it works on other body pain as well.
BEST for me is a tea made from the leaves of papaver somniferum... Just 2 leaves about 3" long. Or, you can dry them & smoke them.
Do you have access to CBD oil, or - dare I hope? - RSO in the state where you live?

When my pain is at its worst (nerve & radiculopathy), I use "Green Dragon Juice." I steep good quality medical cannabis in 151 rum for about 3 weeks in the cupboard. Then, I take 1 tablespoon as needed for pain.
I used to keep a 4 oz squirt bottle in my purse so if I was out & needed it, all I had to do was buy some juice or water.
You can do the same with poppy; it's called Golden Dragon Juice.
The RSO is extracted using Everclear or high-proof alcohol, then evaporating competely. Take only an amount equal to a grain of rice until you know your tolerance.
Keeps me pain-free for half a day!
