We've been house-hunting since September with almost no rural properties on the market. We agreed from the beginning that if something didn't go smoothly, it would be because God had something better planned fo rus.

We found one & were easily qualified, but it was a "manufactured home," so we had to meet special qualifications...

Three weeks into our contract on that place, being pressured by the owner, etc... (We were NOT going to buy without an inspection!)

I had been telling God, "Whatever you think is best for us, Father," and seeing us in a nicer, more light-filled home that would not require so much work (digging out azaleas, cutting unwanted trees/brush).

Just replace the great danes in the photo with dairy goats!

All of THIS manifested in less than a week, once we let go of wanting the other place!

The lawn furniture is out back on the deck, which fortunately has a gate, so the goats will not be in our laps unless we WANT to entertain them!

I'm already shopping for Buff Orpingtons, Nubian goats & Tamworth & Ossabaw Island pigs...

We'll be taking out the azaleas way at the back because they're toxic to goats...

In the section around the house with the wood fence, we'll have 2 big gardens...

Along the fences, big oaks will come out & fruit trees will go in their place!

Not all in one go, but bit by bit, we'll turn it into a Garden of Eating!

does your town allow peacocks? is this in city or country? a friend of mines neighbor sells peacocks. My friend has 1 & he's beautiful
