As a scientist I can tell you science has been politicized and corrupted for many decades and scientisis are well aware of this fact. Many do it for the millions of dollars they can get from government, investors like Epstein, and other countries. Others do it for fame and status. Most do it to keep their jobs and get promoted. There are decent scientists but the system prefers the corrupt.
