There are Hallmark cards made in America. I worked at a Printer in Wisconsin that made Hallmark cards. This is FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE. I can even tell you the types of paper they used on some cards. Be wary of generalized statements like these.

American greetings is also made in china. I worked for hallmark over 40 years and was given updates of the competition all the time.
