Leaving kids in tunnels is an odd way to think of it since all those tunnels have had motion in them back and forth. You mean the chambers far below, right? To leave someone down there isn't the right way to put it. In so many cases, it's dangerous to emerge so quickly. And with that in mind, look at the clearing of tunnels now as the final stages of their existence for what they were used for. The innocents have already since been cleared out and taken to safety.

Then the beast and the father of lies who hide still, will have very few places in the earth to dwell. The bottomless pit is open now.
