People in Texas, here is a tip from a New Englander: when the outdoor temperature gets to the point where your pipes can freeze, open all the cabinet doors under your sinks to keep warmer air circulating. If your pipes freeze, turn your water off. It's not 100% effective, but it may prevent a pipe from bursting inside your walls. If you have electricity, use a hair dryer on the pipes under the sinks to help the ice inside to melt. I hope that helps. I am so sorry for what you're going through.

many have not had power for over 30hrs. Transfer stations are freezing. Houston has put out a boil warning, yet many have no power to boil. Some houses INSIDE are just above freezing. Pipes are bursting in apt complexes in Dallas. I don't think dripping will help that.
