Naval Group Pitches FDI Frigate at WDS 2026
Interview with Naval Group's CEO during World Defense Show (WDS) 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The French shipbuilder is leveraging its established experience in the Kingdom to propose the next generation FDI frigate. At WDS 2026, Naval Group was showcasing for the first time a very large FDI scale model.

Naval Group has been established in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for almost 40 years, with the objective to develop a sustainable and long-term partnership. After the design and manufacture of 7 frigates and 2 oil replenishers, Naval Group is focusing on improving the Saudi fleet’s availability, through its subsidiary Naval Group Arabia based in Riyadh.

The French shipbuilder is now proposing the new and sea proven FDI frigate. Two units of these next generation advanced frigates have already been delivered to the French Navy and to the Hellenic Navy.
