I worked so hard yesterday in spite of the pain, in preparation for the possibility of power outages with all this ice we are expected to get. Moved all the dogs in the house, because the dog kennel is heated with electricity, and didn't want them to freeze. I bathed them all as well. I'm in so much pain now, can hardly bear it, but I had to protect my babies. They are saying up to 3" of ice so I'll definitely be without electricity for awhile. I have a gas wall heater to heat with and my range is gas as well so at least I can cook. I have 5 gallon buckets of water drawn up in case the water freezes as well as my bottled water. I have everything charged up including several phone chargers, and plenty of batteries on hand for flashlights, plus I have the rechargeable light bulbs. I'll lose all communication ability because my internet won't work and cellphone service here in the country is very unreliable. Please pray for all of us in the path of these storms.
