FDA PEG 3350 safety study is decade-long delayed;
In 2014 the FDA found traces of Ethylene Glycol, Diethylene Glycol, and Triethylene Glycol in the blood samples of children who were hospitalized for neuropsychiatric events after taking MiraLAX.
The FDA then gave Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia $690k to test the safety of PEG 3350 in children. Meanwhile, the doctor in charge of the study keeps delaying the peg study while getting more funding for other studies.
