Yup silvadene and years ago when I was a student nurse we did rotations on the burn ward where sinks, floors bedding etc were black because of the use of a liquid silver solution to treat deep burns. 😇

When I was a young Wrangler I'd teach burned kids how to ride horses. Holy Smokes some of their injuries/scars were HORRIFIC, but you shoulda seen their faces light up in BIG SMILES when I got them on horseback in the ring. 🏇
They'd try so hard to do anything normal kids could do, their scars...OMGosh. Some of them having to decide to have their limbs amputated due to the nature of those deep burn scars that wouldn't grow while their bones did! 😱
It was so rewarding for me to help them enjoy the experience, gaining the confidence that riding a horse gives, learnin' the Outdoors!
I'll never forget taking them on a big camping cookout. I'd tell them go get some firewood and those kids would FIGHT to see who got the wood fastest and who got the saw.
Normal kids would moan & groan at such a chore, but not those kids. They were chompin' at the bit to do ANYTHING normal Kids could do.
I think about them still today. 😥

Yes burn injuries are horrific. You know.
Some of the Kids I was teaching to ride were burned more than 50%. Just terrible injuries because the scars are so permanent. When affecting Kids the terrible thing is their bones grow, but the hypertrophic burn scars don't and that leads to terrible re-injury and even bone deformities, it's just terrible. 😥
Those Kids were amazing, tho!
All I can think of is how MEDBEDS will eliminate all that. BRING ON THE MEDBEDS!!!
Waiting intently for them to roll-out PUBLICLY, especially for those who have severe illness and injuries - life will change for EVERYONE for the better!
