The “Ascension Rock,” located in the Chapel of the Ascension on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, is believed by Christians to be the spot where Jesus ascended to heaven. This rock is said to bear the imprint of Jesus’ right foot as he ascended. A section of the rock with the left footprint is said to be located in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Christians consider it the last point on earth touched by the incarnate Christ.
