City of David — Jerusalem
Beneath the streets of Jerusalem lies a deeper story.
One carved in stone, water, and faith.
This is the City of David, the oldest part of Jerusalem—
where King David established his throne (2 Samuel 5:7),
and where God’s covenant with Israel took physical shape.
Walking through these ancient tunnels, carved more than 2,700 years ago,
you realize this city was built not only for beauty—but for survival.
Water flowed here.
Life was sustained here.
And God’s purposes were unfolding here.
From this place, you look out over the Kidron Valley,
a valley that witnessed kings, prophets, exile, return…
and later, the footsteps of Jesus Himself.
Jerusalem was not built on myth.
It was built on history—
and God worked through real people, in real places, at real moments in time.

Yet even this city points beyond itself.
David’s city prepared the way…
but Jesus Christ is the greater King,
the true Son of David,
and the One who brings living water to all who believe (John 7:37–38).
We do not trust in walls or tunnels.
We trust in the Lord who builds His kingdom forever.
