sigh ... the sky is falling again

😡This is what we’re being told to panic about: the "extremely dangerous high side of low."

The UK is being warned of a “super flu.”

Masks. Panic. Headlines screaming lockdowns.

So let’s do the radical thing: look at the data.

Current flu rates are about 20 per 100,000.
Recent highs? Nearly 56 per 100,000 back in 2017–2018.

So no, this isn’t a surge. It isn’t racing toward records.
In fact, the government’s own report says influenza activity is “circulating at medium levels.”

Medium. Not severe. Not unprecedented. Not catastrophic. Yet somehow the messaging sounds like the sky is falling. This is what we’re being told to panic about: the extremely dangerous high side of low.

Once again, panic is being prescribed where perspective would do.

If "medium" is now an emergency, we’ve lost the plot.
